Ian's "real" birthday

This past Friday was Ian's actual second birthday. We'd already had his party when Brian was home for R&R but we did do some things to celebrate his "real" birthday too. When I put his Hawaiian shirt on in the morning he immediately said, "Daddy shirt!" because he and Daddy wore Hawaiian shirts at his party. And then when I told him it was his birthday he got excited and said, "Queen cake!" because he absolutely loved the Lightening McQueen cake from his party. Well, we didn't exactly have another "Queen cake" but we did take cupcakes to his daycare and he got very excited when all of his friends sang Happy Birthday to him. For dinner we went to Max and Erma's and he got chocolate chip cookies and a big dish of ice cream that he loaded up with toppings from their sundae bar. And of course his birthday wouldn't be complete without more cars...so I got him a couple more cool cars to add to his collection. He was also very excited by a Spiderman outfit that Grandma Sheila gave him that lights up!
